The City of Orland General Municipal Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 where three seats will be considered by the voters. The three City Council seats are currently filled by Mayor Jim Paschall, Vice Mayor Bruce T. Roundy and Councilmember Salina Edwards. The term of the office will begin Monday, December 7, 2020 and ends in December 2024. The nomination period will begin July 20, 2020 through August 14, 2020. Please note that papers to run cannot be taken out until the established nomination period is open.

You may register to vote if you are currently a United States Citizen, will be at least 18 years of age at the time of the next election, and are not in prison or on parole for a felony violation. The registration deadline is 15 days before an election to qualify to vote in that election. Remember to re-register whenever you move, change your name, political party affiliation or mailing address.
Voter registration forms are available at Orland City Hall, the Glenn County Clerk/Elections Department, or online at the Secretary of State website.
Signs are permitted but should not exceed an aggregate of 12 sq. ft., located by an individual on his or her own residence or place of business or on some part of the property; provided, that such signs are displayed not more than 60 days before, or more than 10 days after the conclusion of the political campaign or event to which they relate.
The City has previously ruled that signs are not to be placed in or about the public right of way and may not be placed on utility poles. Signs displayed prior to 60 days before the election and more than 10 days after the election will be confiscated by the City and a charge for such service will be assessed against the candidate.
